An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support high school students in a dynamic educational setting near Richton Park, IL. This contract position focuses on delivering quality speech and language therapy to a manageable caseload, making a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
What You’ll Need:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Experience or interest in working with high school-aged students
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Knowledge in addressing Specific Learning Disabilities, particularly in a school-based setting
Role Details:
- Part-time schedule: 3 days per week, tailored for work-life balance
- Manage a caseload of approximately 35 high school students, mostly with Specific Learning Disabilities
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions, including assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and special education teams to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Serve as a resource for staff and families on communication strategies and student progress
- Start date is as soon as possible, with the position extending through May 27th
