Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Therapist in Troy, NY

Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-age populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Comfort with documentation and progress tracking systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans targeting each student's unique needs
- Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational goals
- Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven recommendations for ongoing intervention
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of educational programs
- Provide guidance and resources to school staff for supporting students in the classroom
