Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Therapist - Waterloo, NY
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children in a K-6 setting, working with students ages 5-12 as a School Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time contract opportunity promises a supportive environment and a collaborative team dedicated to helping every student communicate and succeed.
Enjoy a fulfilling workweek, Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 3:30 PM. The caseload consists of 25-30 students, allowing for individualized attention and relationship-building with each child. Both experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP - CCC) and Clinical Fellows (SLP - CFY) are encouraged to apply—mentorship and ongoing support are readily available.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP licensure or eligibility
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Candidate for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in school settings is a plus, but new graduates are welcome
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to a diverse group of K-6 students
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student success
- Deliver one-on-one and small group sessions
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the multi-disciplinary team
- Educate and support families on strategies for language development
