Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Language Pathology (SLP) | Stafford, Virginia

Starting August 13th, 2025 and concluding May 21st, 2026, you'll be engaged in a dynamic Monday through Friday schedule, reporting directly to the Director of Special Education.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP License
- Experience or strong interest in school-based and pediatric speech-language therapy; previous school setting experience preferred
- SLP-CCC and/or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome
- Comfort with assessments, evaluations, consultation, and teletherapy
- Skill in supporting students with special education needs and diverse backgrounds
- Effective communicator with the ability to build trust with students, families, staff, and community partners
- Working knowledge of special education processes, IEPs, and disability categories
- Strong organizational skills, with creativity and a positive, fun approach to therapy and collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess speech, language, and communication needs for elementary-aged students
- Provide direct therapy and consultation as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Develop, implement, and track progress on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Facilitate engaging intervention sessions supporting personal and academic growth
- Consult with educators and staff on classroom-based language programs
- Foster communication and collaboration among families, healthcare providers, and school personnel
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all relevant laws and guidelines
