This contract position offers two full-time opportunities for credentialed SLPs to provide services across a variety of elementary settings—ranging from assignments at a single campus to supporting students at two nearby schools. Spanning the entire school year, you'll collaborate with educators and families to foster student growth and success in communication skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Virginia Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- CCC-SLP or CFY credentials accepted
- Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare SLP roles preferred
- Understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
- Experience supporting children with diverse needs from kindergarten through fifth grade
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver evidence-based interventions for articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Contribute to student evaluations, progress reports, and annual reviews
- Provide services within both single-school and dual-school assignments as scheduled
