As a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll make a meaningful difference in young lives, working with elementary-aged students to provide exceptional therapy services. This contract position offers two full-time openings with placement options that range from single-site to two-school assignments, depending on your preference and strengths.
What we’re looking for:
- Active Virginia SLP license or eligibility
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric and school-based therapy settings
- SLP-CCC or those completing a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) are welcome
- Experience or passion for working with elementary students
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse learner needs
- Collaborative mindset for partnering with educators, families, and other specialists
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and compliance with school policies
Key responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collect and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, and support for students, teachers, and families
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and professional development
- Foster a supportive and engaging learning environment
