Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active and valid SLP state license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience delivering therapy in a hospital environment, with an emphasis on pediatric populations
- Strong knowledge of evaluation, assessment, and treatment methodologies for children with communication and swallowing disorders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working collaboratively with healthcare teams and families
- Commitment to maintaining accurate and timely documentation
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing assessments for pediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, using evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams, nurses, and family members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Educate caregivers and family members on therapy strategies to support continuity of care at home
- Document all patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries promptly according to facility standards
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to coordinate holistic care
