These contract assignments include coverage for a PreK maternity leave as well as a full-time position supporting elementary students (K–6) with a manageable caseload of approximately 55 students.
In these roles, you will collaborate with educators and families, assess communication abilities, and develop tailored intervention plans designed to foster each student's growth and success. You'll be supported by a welcoming school community committed to equity and excellence.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, valid SLP license for the state of Michigan (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but open to strong clinical fellows
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to culturally competent and inclusive practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Deliver both direct and consultative services to students, working closely with teachers and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Foster an encouraging and supportive therapeutic environment
