School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Watsonville, California
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year! This full-time, contract role involves working from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm, Monday through Friday, with assignments running from August 19, 2026, through June 11, 2027. There are two positions available to meet the needs of the district: one SLP will serve an elementary single-site, while the other will work across a dynamic mix of Resource Specialist Program (RSP) and Special Day Class (SDC) caseloads. Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- School-based SLP experience is highly valued, especially with elementary-aged children
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech/language assessments and develop customized intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services within the school setting
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and legal requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student growth
- Contribute actively to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
