Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid SLPA state licensure required
- Previous experience working in educational or pediatric settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to develop and implement speech-language interventions under supervision of an SLP
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently within a school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting speech-language screenings and implementing therapeutic activities
- Support students in both individual and group settings as outlined in their IEPs
- Collaborate with supervising SLP to track progress and assist with documentation
- Monitor and report student performance, maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Provide resources, strategies, and feedback for teachers and parents to reinforce progress in the classroom and at home
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to planning, adapting, and refining therapy approaches
