Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Current SLPA state licensure required
- Previous experience supporting speech-language services in schools strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with children and adolescents in individual and group settings
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Able to collaborate effectively with supervising SLP and other educational staff
- Passion for helping students develop essential communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech-language therapy plans developed by supervising SLP
- Conduct therapy sessions with students, following prescribed goals and strategies
- Gather and document data on student progress, adjusting support as needed under guidance
- Prepare therapy materials and activities to engage and motivate students
- Communicate regularly with supervising SLP and education team regarding student needs and achievements
- Support classroom teachers with strategies to reinforce communication skills throughout the school day
