Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Valid SLPA state licensure is required
- Prior experience in school settings preferred, or a strong commitment to working with children and young adults
- Solid understanding of speech and language therapy techniques and best practices
- Ability to implement therapy plans set by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability in working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services under supervision of a certified Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support students in achieving communication goals, both individually and in group settings
- Collect data and document student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and allied professionals
- Assist in developing and executing intervention strategies tailored to each student’s needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere supportive of student growth
