Key Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience in educational or healthcare settings with students requiring individualized approaches, especially those with ASD or similar learning differences
- Collaborative spirit, strong communication abilities, and a passion for serving high school-aged learners
- Dedicated, compassionate approach to working with students, educators, and families
- Willingness to take initiative and adapt communication strategies as student needs evolve
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services as outlined in student IEPs, focusing on functional communication and social skills
- Support the lead Speech-Language Pathologist with assessment, session preparation, and data collection
- Implement intervention plans and activities aligned with each student’s unique strengths and needs
- Foster an encouraging, structured learning environment centered on building independence and self-advocacy skills
- Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing professional development
