School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Colorado Springs, Colorado

You’ll support a manageable caseload of 39 students, focusing primarily on mild to moderate needs in articulation and pragmatics. With all students on one campus, you’ll enjoy a streamlined workflow and meaningful relationships with your students and colleagues. Our students do not require AT devices, allowing you to concentrate on direct, purposeful communication support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or related field
- Valid SLPA state certification or eligibility
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong understanding of articulation and pragmatics interventions
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families
- Ability to organize therapy materials and documentation efficiently
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners in an educational setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy under supervision of an SLP, focusing on articulation and pragmatic language
- Track and document student progress accurately
- Coordinate schedules and group sessions to maximize student outcomes
- Prepare and implement engaging therapy activities
- Collaborate regularly with the supervising SLP and classroom teachers
- Support generalization of communication skills in the classroom
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
