Position Overview
We are seeking two Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join a school-based team in Yorktown. These are onsite-only positions supporting elementary students, with one caseload potentially including high school students depending on district needs. Both CCC and Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates will be considered. The district requires SLP coverage and is looking to build a strong, supportive therapy team.
Job Responsibilities
Provide speech and language evaluations and direct therapy services
Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring
Manage caseload needs across assigned school sites
Position Details
Number of Openings: 2
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Age Groups: Elementary (both positions), with one possible high school component
Caseload Size: Under 68 students
School Locations: Typically 1–2 school sites per SLP depending on district need
Setting: School-based
Work Type: Onsite only
Pay Rate: $45–55+ per hour (DOE)
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active Virginia SLP license (or eligibility)
CCCs or CF candidates accepted
School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
