Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license for Delaware (required for consideration)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Comfort adapting to changes in caseload, which may fluctuate during the year
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Willingness and ability to support students both within the school setting and in-homebound environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized plans based on students’ IEPs
- Provide services at school sites and travel to homes within the district as needed
- Maintain thorough records and collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
- Participate in IEP meetings, consultation, and professional development as required
- Flexibly support a caseload that includes both in-school and homebound students, adapting to assignments as determined by district needs
