School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Webster, New York
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic educational environment. Two full-time positions are available, providing essential speech and language services to elementary or high school students. These roles begin as soon as possible and will continue until a permanent hire is made internally.
There are two openings:
- Wheatland-Chili TJ Connor Elementary, working primarily with elementary students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Wheatland-Chili Jr/Sr High, serving high school students with intellectual disabilities
Enjoy the benefits of collaborating with dedicated school teams while working a convenient Monday-Friday schedule. Hours will be determined upon placement.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in school settings, preferably with contract or travel assignments
- Strong background supporting either ASD elementary populations or high-schoolers with intellectual disabilities, depending on your preference
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary team skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct speech-language therapy services to your assigned caseload.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
- Maintain timely records and progress reports in compliance with school policies and special education law.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive school community.
