School Speech Language Pathologist - Spencerport, New York

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Spencerport, NY area. Two full-time positions are available, with immediate start dates and contracts continuing until permanent staff are hired. SLPs will contribute to the success of students at either Wheatland-Chili TJ Connor Elementary (serving elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder) or Wheatland-Chili Jr/Sr High (working with high school students with intellectual disabilities).
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid SLP license in New York State
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized education plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ communication needs within a school environment
- Develop and provide tailored therapy sessions aligned with IEP goals
- Document progress, complete necessary reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
Assignment Details:
- Full-time contracts; Monday through Friday
- Hours to be determined based on assignment
- Role A: Elementary ASD caseload
- Role B: High school intellectual disabilities caseload
- Start ASAP and maintain vital services while permanent staff are recruited
