Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current licensure and certification to practice as an SLP
- Experience providing speech and language services in a school-based environment is highly desirable
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to cultural competency and inclusivity in all student interactions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among students
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Monitor and document student progress, updating goals as needed
- Consult and collaborate with general education teachers and special education team members
- Educate and involve families in the therapy process and provide strategies for use at home
- Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of school-wide programs related to communication
