School Speech Language Pathologist - Leesburg, FL
Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to an engaging, part-time contract opportunity supporting students at the elementary level. This rewarding role will have you working three days each week, totaling 24 hours, from mid-August through the end of the school year. You’ll play a vital part in helping young learners build communication skills that set them up for academic and social success.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an SLP (or eligibility for licensure)
- SLP-CCC or eligible Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcomed
- Prior experience working in a school setting (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and fellow clinicians
- Knowledge of IEP process and speech/language assessment tools
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students, both individually and in small groups
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet students’ needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, data collection, and progress reporting
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with district and state regulations
