Your Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Oregon RN license required
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric care, especially familiarity with ventilator-dependent patients
- Confidence with hands-on healthcare needs such as administering breathing treatments, suctioning, and tube management
- Collaborative spirit for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable adapting to a school environment and proactively supporting student inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide vigilant care and monitoring for a first grader with a congenital heart and lung condition
- Operate and maintain the child’s ventilator, administer treatments, and respond promptly to any airway concerns
- Assist the student with bathroom needs and mobility throughout the school day
- Serve as a compassionate advocate for student comfort and well-being in an educational setting
- Work synergistically with classroom staff to ensure the child can participate fully and safely
