Telehealth Speech Language Pathologist - Maryland
A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist specializing in teletherapy services within a school environment. This role supports virtual speech language pathology services in the Silver Spring, MD area, requiring expertise in telespeech and teletherapy under a virtual school-based model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver teletherapy speech and language services to students ranging from elementary through middle school levels.
- Manage caseloads varying by age group, starting with smaller groups and potentially increasing up to 57 students at peak.
- Collaborate with supervisors to tailor caseload assignments based on individual skill sets and geographical location.
- Maintain compliance with all state licensure requirements and credentialing mandates, including background checks.
- Participate in pre-placement interviews and complete required technical screenings as part of the selection process.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field.
- Active Maryland license in Speech Language Pathology.
- Minimum of three years post-COVID experience delivering virtual school-based speech therapy within the last five years.
- Strong understanding of telespeech and teletherapy methodologies.
- Proficient in managing virtual caseloads within EST time zone requirements.
- Ability to provide references and documentation including licenses and background checks.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Contract runs from August 25, 2026, to June 11, 2027.
- Approximately 35 hours per week, typically scheduled across 3 full days.
- Remote position serving students in the Washington DC area.
