Virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - MD
An opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services within the educational setting. This contract position is based in Silver Spring, MD, and serves students in a virtual school environment. Services will primarily be provided remotely to clients within the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone.
Responsibilities include delivering teletherapy interventions and evaluations to students across various age groups, ranging from elementary to middle school levels. Caseload size varies by grade, with a maximum of 40 students for elementary and up to 57 at peak periods for middle school. Assignments will be tailored based on individual experience, comfort level, and geographic location.
Key qualifications and experience requirements:
- Active Maryland SLP licensure
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Minimum of 3 years post-COVID virtual school-based experience, with at least 2 years gained within the last 5 years
- Demonstrated proficiency in telepractice and strong communication skills in a virtual format
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently within a remote setting
Additional factors for consideration:
- Candidates must reside within the EST zone to be eligible
- Necessary credentialing and background checks will be completed prior to assignment

Work schedule consists of 35 hours weekly over three full days, to be determined based on candidate availability and district needs. Contract duration runs from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027.
