Teletherapy Speech Therapy in School Setting - Maryland
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services within a school setting, located in Gaithersburg, MD. This position involves delivering virtual speech therapy services to students in elementary through middle school age groups within the Eastern Standard Time zone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide remote speech-language pathology services to students ranging from elementary to middle school levels.
- Manage caseloads varying from approximately 40 to 57 students throughout the academic year, with the starting caseload lower and increasing over time.
- Collaborate with supervisors to determine appropriate caseload and assignments based on individual expertise and geographic location.
- Maintain compliance with all school district and state regulations, including background checks and credentialing procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold an active Maryland Speech Language Pathology license.
- Minimum of three years post-COVID virtual school-based speech pathology experience.
- Ability to work 35 hours per week on a full-time basis—part-time applicants will not be considered.
- Strong understanding of teletherapy practices and ability to adapt services for remote delivery.
- Eligible candidates must reside within or be willing to work within the Eastern Standard Time zone.
- Completion of required background checks and credential verifications.
Assignment Details:
- Contract duration is from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027.
- Full-time assignment with an emphasis on virtual services for students in a public school district.
- Caseloads to be aligned with candidate comfort and expertise.
