Virtual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - MD
A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services within a school setting. This position is based in Rockville, MD, supporting virtual school-based caseloads for the upcoming academic year from August 25, 2026, through June 11, 2027. The role offers approximately 35 hours per week, typically spread over three full days.
Key responsibilities include providing speech therapy services to students ranging from elementary to middle school age. Caseload sizes vary by level, with a maximum of 40 students at the elementary level and up to 57 students at peak times. Assignments will be tailored based on each clinician’s comfort level, skill set, and location within the Eastern Standard Time zone.
Qualifications and experience required:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Maryland SLP licensure
- Minimum of three years of virtual school-based experience post-COVID, with at least two years completed within the past five years
- Strong knowledge of telespeech and teletherapy best practices
- Ability to adapt caseload management to meet student needs in a virtual learning environment
- Completion of a House Bill background check and other credentialing requirements
