Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field
- Relevant state licensure or eligibility to obtain it
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in assessment and therapy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and ongoing progress
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to planning and progress discussions
- Educate staff and parents about communication disorders and strategies for support
