Speech Language Pathologist in San Jose, CA
Exciting contract opportunity available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in the vibrant San Jose, CA, area. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid California SLP license or eligibility to obtain
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates considered
- Previous school-based SLP experience is highly desired
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse cultural and learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service staff to support student progress
- Monitor and document student outcomes and maintain accurate records
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in multi-disciplinary team discussions
- Deliver services in both individual and small group settings as needed
