Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current California SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows may be considered
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Knowledge of IEP processes and experience with assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ speech and language abilities using a variety of assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services in both individual and group formats
- Document student progress and maintain detailed records to meet school and legal requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ overall success
- Communicate regularly with parents and educators about goals, interventions, and achievements
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing training
