Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) seeking a contract assignment near San Antonio, TX, for the upcoming school year. This role will cover a maternity leave for the first nine-week period from August 17, 2026, through October 9, 2026, working full-time (37.5 hours per week) across two assigned schools. The position involves on-site service delivery and is essential for supporting students’ communication needs at the start of the academic year. The school district is conducting interviews on April 14, 2026, so early application is encouraged.
What you'll bring:
- Active and current Speech Language Pathologist (CCC) professional license
- Experience in a school-based SLP setting preferred
- Ability to supervise a bilingual SLPA (bilingual skills beneficial)
- Completion of background check and fingerprinting prior to start
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, students, and families
- Enthusiasm for working with diverse student populations
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students
- Supervise activities and caseload management of an assigned bilingual SLPA
- Attend IEP meetings, write and implement IEP goals, and complete documentation in a timely manner
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ success
- Manage a dynamic school caseload (details to be determined)
This contract role offers a competitive pay scale based on experience, with professionals having 0-2 years earning between $48-51 per hour, 3-5 years at $51-54, 6-9 years at $54-57, and those with 10+ years earning $57-60 per hour.
