Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Quitman, Texas
Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential speech-language services to K-6th grade students at a single school site. This is a full-time opportunity beginning in March and extending through June, with the possibility to continue into summer and renew for the next academic year. You'll collaborate closely with a talented team, including two full-time therapists, supporting a moderate to severe caseload and making a daily impact in students’ lives.
Your schedule will follow a structured school day, typically starting between 7:30-8:00 am and wrapping up by 2:45-3:45 pm, for up to 40 hours per week. This is a fully on-site position, providing opportunities for hands-on work and direct interaction with educators, families, and students.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or CFY) or Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) credentials
- Experience in school-based, healthcare, pediatrics, or teletherapy settings
- Background in serving moderate to severe special education needs
- Exceptional communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Confidence in supporting a full range of speech and language challenges in K-6 students
- Relevant state licensure and certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for speech/language disorders
- Deliver individualized and group therapy services in alignment with IEP goals
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in case conferences and parent meetings
- Work closely with teachers and fellow therapists to support student progress and program development
- Stay current on best practices in school-based speech therapy
