Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Emory, TX

Step into a rewarding opportunity making a difference in the lives of K-6th grade students as a Speech-Language Pathologist! This contract position is based at a single, vibrant school site and is ideal for professionals experienced in SLP (CCC, CFY, or SLPA) and passionate about pediatric and school-based therapy. With a supportive team of two full-time therapists already on campus, you'll be able to collaborate closely while focusing on a moderate to severe caseload distributed across the elementary school range.
Your workdays will begin between 7:30-8:00am and finish by 2:45-3:45pm, Monday through Friday, with a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The role launches in March, continues through the school year in June, with opportunities to extend into the summer and beyond into the following year—providing consistent, meaningful work.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP (CCC or CFY) or SLPA credentials
- Valid license to practice as an SLP/SLPA (requirements for CA and TX considered)
- Experience in school, pediatric, or healthcare settings preferred
- Comfort with moderate to severe caseloads in a K-6 population
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Teletherapy experience is welcomed but not required as this position is on-site only
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with other therapists, teachers, and families to support student outcomes
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development
