Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Quincy, Massachusetts
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a specialized focus on pediatric and school-based care. This full-time position centers on working with a small group of PreK students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a collaborative, onsite setting. Your day will run from 7:45 am to 1:30 pm, aligning with student hours from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, creating a balanced schedule that leaves your afternoons free.
Your skills will make a real difference as you help 6–8 students improve communication and reach their educational and developmental goals. Work alongside other dedicated professionals in a positive learning environment near Quincy, MA, with access to resources and support for best outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Background in pediatric speech therapy and experience with school-aged children
- Prior experience or strong interest in working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) populations
- Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and educational-based therapy goals
- Excellent interpersonal communication and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy in a self-contained ASD PreK classroom
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to support each child’s progress
- Develop and update progress notes and documentation to comply with school requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student IEPs
