In this full-time, on-site contract role, you will work with a dedicated team, supporting a class of 6-8 preschool students, many with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Staff hours are 7:45 am to 1:30 pm, aligning closely with student attendance, ensuring a focused and collaborative day.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Current Massachusetts SLP license and ASHA CCCs or eligibility
- Previous pediatric or PreK experience, especially with ASD populations, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with school-based IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy to PreK students, focusing on developing essential communication skills
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families for holistic student support
- Maintain progress records and contribute to the IEP team with clear, timely documentation
- Participate in team meetings and offer professional insights as needed
- Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment for all students
