This full-time, contract opportunity involves working closely with a small group of 6-8 students on the Autism Spectrum in a specialized classroom environment. Staff hours run from 7:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with students present from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., providing a focused schedule where your expertise is valued.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid SLP license for Massachusetts
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-based populations, particularly ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- Familiarity with IEP processes and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, compassion, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to PreK students with ASD
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support holistic student progress
- Complete evaluations, assessments, and progress reports with accurate documentation
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise in communication development
- Provide guidance and support to educational staff regarding language and communication strategies
