Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Pottstown, PA
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting middle school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist, specializing in pediatric care within an educational setting. This position covers a maternity leave from mid-April through December 2026 and offers a full-time weekday schedule of 7:25 am to 3:00 pm, totaling 35 hours each week.
Your focus will be on providing exceptional speech and language services to 8th and 9th grade students, collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student growth and well-being. This opportunity allows you to make a direct, daily impact as you guide adolescents through critical communication milestones in their academic journey.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prior experience in school-based SLP, with a focus on pediatrics preferred
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and compliance documentation
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for every student
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services to assigned caseload
- Complete timely, accurate assessment, evaluation, and progress reporting
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with school and district guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams and families to maximize student success
- Offer expert support in augmentative/alternative communication where appropriate
