Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology licensure
- Previous experience working in a school setting, ideally with middle or high school students
- Strong pediatric SLP background, comfortable addressing a wide range of communication and language disorders
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Skilled in conducting assessments and delivering therapy in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in grades 8 and 9
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student learning and communication goals
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments to determine student needs
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Design therapy plans tailored to individual student strengths and challenges
- Stay current with best practices in school-based speech-language pathology
