Speech Language Pathologist in Port Orchard, WA

For the 2026-2027 school year, several openings are available on a full-time, contract basis, supporting students from August 31, 2026, through June 17, 2027. Collaborate with educators and families while working in an engaging, in-person environment.
You’ll work with manageable caseloads—45 students at the secondary level, and 42 at the elementary level—allowing you to make meaningful progress with each child. Your expertise will be valued as you provide specialized assessment, intervention, and consultation services.
To be well prepared for this rewarding position, you’ll need:
- Active Washington SLP License
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance standards
- Adaptability for working with diverse student populations across elementary and secondary levels
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized speech and language plans
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other support staff
- Implementing therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Documenting services and progress according to state and federal guidelines
- Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Providing guidance and resources to school staff and families
