Speech Language Pathologist in Orland Park, IL
Step into an impactful role supporting students’ communication skills in a vibrant educational environment starting this August. This contract opportunity focuses on serving early childhood through 8th grade, collaborating with a dedicated team to provide essential speech-language pathology services. With a defined caseload split between two clinicians, you’ll contribute to meaningful change for approximately 70 students throughout the school year.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathology endorsement from IDFPR
- ISBE number must be provided for consideration
- Prior experience in a school-based SLP setting serving EC–8th grade preferred
- Comfortable adhering to district union guidelines and school policies
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to assigned students in-person following IEP mandates
- Assess, diagnose, and develop targeted intervention plans for communication and language needs
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to foster student success
- Document progress, maintain compliance with all school and regulatory requirements, and participate in IEP meetings
- Manage a caseload split to ensure comprehensive service, with full-time and part-time SLP coverage
This position is on-site only—candidates must be comfortable providing in-person care. Interviews may begin in May, and applicants are encouraged to apply proactively due to district policies.
