Speech and Language Pathologist in Orland Park, IL
Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting communication and learning as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant EC-8th grade setting for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity offers a fulfilling experience providing direct, onsite therapy and collaborating within a dedicated educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license through IDFPR
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
- Prior school-based SLP experience, EC-8th grade preferred
- Must be able to provide ISBE number for consideration
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language services for students in early childhood through eighth grade
- Assess, diagnose, and document communication disorders in accordance with district and state regulations
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, compliance activities, and ongoing communication with stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and data tracking for student outcomes
- Adhere to relevant union guidelines and district policies throughout the role
Position Details:
- Exclusive onsite role (no teletherapy)
- 33.75 hours per week, August–May school year contract
- Single SLP position serving an inclusive, supportive EC-8th setting
