Speech Language Pathologist in Cicero, IL

The assignment spans the full academic year, running from mid-August through late May, and is structured for 33.75 hours per week, with caseloads thoughtfully divided between another SLP.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric SLP roles preferred
- Comfortable working with caseloads across early childhood through 8th grade (EC-8th)
- Must provide an active ISBE (Illinois State Board of Education) number for consideration
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload of approximately 45 students (full-time) or 25 students (part-time), in collaboration with another SLP
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and track student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and coordinate services with educators and families
- Maintain compliance with all union policies and district procedures
- Provide therapy on-site, Monday through Friday—remote services are not permitted for this position
