School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Newark, New Jersey
Embark on a rewarding contract assignment supporting students’ communication and language development in a dynamic school setting near Newark, NJ. Work closely with children receiving Early Intervention services, delivering individualized care that truly makes a difference. In this role, you’ll serve a caseload of 35 students with potential for more as needs arise. You'll use your expertise to perform evaluations, provide direct therapy, and collaborate as part of an IEP team. Candidates experienced with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices are highly desired.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active and valid SLP certification required (must present to obtain interview)
- Experience providing speech-language services within a school environment
- Ability to perform both evaluations and individualized therapy
- Comfort and proficiency attending IEP meetings
- Strong skills in working with early intervention populations
- Knowledge or background working with AAC devices is a significant plus
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy individually to a diverse student caseload
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and create tailored treatment plans
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and families
- Document progress and update records accurately and in a timely manner
- Utilize augmentative communication tools as needed
- Adjust to a changing caseload, supporting new referrals as they arise
