Speech Language Pathologist in Newark, DE
Step into a dynamic school-based environment as a Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to fostering communication and learning for young students. This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year and is perfect for experienced SLPs with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or strong Clinical Fellows (CF) seeking to grow professionally in a supportive setting.
Your assignment will be based in a welcoming elementary campus, with working hours from 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Enjoy a consistent schedule including a 30-minute paid lunch each day and a well-supported caseload. Please note, this role is fully onsite, and candidates must have (or be eligible for) a Delaware SLP license. SLP-Assistants or remote/virtual (“VOCO”) providers cannot be considered for this position.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid or eligible Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist license
- SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) credentials
- School-based or pediatric SLP experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Passion for providing assessment, intervention, and collaborative support to students
- Ability to work fully onsite at the designated location
- Willingness to share an updated resume; SLP license must be attached for consideration (unless applying as a CF)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students
- Maintain accurate, timely progress notes and documentation
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families
