Speech Language Pathologist in Hockessin, DE
Step confidently into a vital Speech-Language Pathologist position supporting a diverse school community in the Wilmington, DE area. Ideal candidates hold a valid Delaware SLP license (or are candidates for Clinical Fellowship), and are ready to bring expertise in school-based evaluation, intervention, and consultation. While licensure details are required for direct consideration, SLP Clinical Fellows are welcomed to apply. This assignment is not open to teletherapy or SLPAs.
Qualifications:
- Delaware SLP license (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; open to strong Clinical Fellows (CF)
- Prior experience in school settings, pediatric therapy, or early intervention is highly valued
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-based practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Onsite SLP services M-F from 8:30am-4:00pm (Forwood ES, 37.5 hours/week)
- Provide comprehensive speech/language assessments and therapy
- Develop and implement IEPs for a diverse caseload
- Work collaboratively with teachers, families, and support teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress reporting
