School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Mount Vernon, Washington
An exciting opportunity awaits professionals passionate about supporting students’ communication development through skilled intervention and guidance. This contract role, situated near the scenic Mount Vernon area, is ideal for an SLPA dedicated to making a positive impact in a collaborative educational environment.
You’ll work 15 hours weekly, enjoying flexibility in choosing which days best fit your schedule. Start immediately or join at the beginning of January, continuing throughout the remainder of the school year. This position offers a welcoming, team-oriented atmosphere with continual access to onsite SLP supervisors who are ready to provide mentorship and answer your clinical questions as you grow in your practice.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current SLPA license, eligible to practice in the area
- Experience supporting SLPs in a school setting highly valued
- Familiarity with SLP – CCC criteria and schools-based therapy
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt, collaborate, and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students as directed by supervising SLPs
- Support IEP goals by delivering individual or group therapy sessions
- Document session notes and progress toward therapy objectives
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to foster student growth
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all school policies and state regulations
