Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the remainder of the school year. This role begins immediately, with services running through June 18, 2020, and potential extension into the summer for compensatory needs. The position is based near Port Orchard, WA, and involves working remotely due to the district's current virtual learning structure. You’ll be assisting a caseload of 38 elementary students, with a full-time schedule set at 37.5 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Comfortable and proficient with technology for remote assessment, therapy, and documentation
- Flexibility to adapt to virtual/remote service models
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Previous experience with elementary-aged caseloads a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual speech and language therapy to students, addressing their individual education plans (IEPs) and communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain thorough, accurate records and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in remote IEP meetings, consultations, and student evaluations
- Quickly adapt to district software and procedures for remote service delivery
