School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Minneapolis, Minnesota

Step into an impactful role supporting students’ growth and communication skills by providing speech-language services at the elementary level. This contract assignment focuses on covering an FMLA leave, making an immediate difference for children as they start a new school year. You’ll be part of a dedicated team as you help students in need of specialized support from the opening of the school year through Thanksgiving, with possible extension based on program needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Possess or eligibility for Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC-SLP), or open to strong Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Experience working with pediatric or elementary-aged children in educational settings
- State licensure (or ability to obtain licensure) as required for practice
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Motivation to foster inclusion and success for diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, evidence-based speech and language therapy to elementary students
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and document progress
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the multidisciplinary team
- Empower students to achieve functional communication in the academic environment
