Role Overview
Are you a passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) looking for a rewarding position in the Marion, AL area? A supportive local school district is currently hiring dedicated SLPs to join their collaborative special education team for the upcoming school year.

Qualifications & Requirements
State Licensure: Active Alabama Speech Language Pathologist license and required state school credentials.
Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Experience: Previous school-based special education or pediatric clinical experience preferred.
Core Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, team collaboration, and student engagement strategies.
References: Positive professional references from the past two years.
Key Responsibilities
IEP Development & Management: Design, implement, and track individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to speech and language goals.
Direct Intervention: Provide specialized speech-language therapy and instruction in alignment with state standards and student needs.
Progress Monitoring: Evaluate student communication skills, maintain detailed documentation, and track ongoing progress.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with general education teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and parents to support holistic student growth.
Compliance & Advocacy: Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team evaluations, and adhere to Virginia state and federal special education regulations.
Positive Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and engaging therapeutic atmosphere for students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels.
