School Speech Therapist | Chicago, Illinois

Qualifications and Experience:
- Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates are welcome
- Previous pediatric or school-based SLP experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Familiarity with IEP development and participation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting speech and language goals
- Work with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate strategies
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to student evaluations and goal-setting
- Provide direct therapy (individual and group) within the school environment
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding speech/language disorders and intervention techniques
