School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Joliet, Illinois

Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders
- Current Illinois SLP License and PEL (Professional Educator License) or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; clinical fellows (CFs) considered
- Prior pediatric or school-based experience is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, to students with speech-language disorders
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support personnel to monitor progress and adjust interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team conferences, and ongoing professional development
- Maintain thorough documentation and timely progress reports according to school and regulatory requirements
