Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Illinois SLP credentials
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY considered
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly desired
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Current knowledge of IEP process and special education practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students with a variety of communication needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records and progress documentation
- Communicate clearly and regularly with families regarding student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student goals and intervention strategies
- Stay current with best practices and continued professional development in the field
