Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP licensure in Illinois
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress reports
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations for students referred for speech and language support
- Develop and implement effective speech-language treatment plans individualized to each student
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure cohesive student support
- Maintain detailed progress notes, documentation, and compliance with relevant laws and guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute expertise and training sessions for staff when needed
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
