Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Attalla, AL
Seeking a dedicated speech-language pathologist to provide services in a supportive K-12 environment near Attalla, AL. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference for students throughout the school year, working across three nearby school sites. Qualifications:
- Active Alabama SLP License required
- Experience with school-based SLP services (K-12)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) highly desirable; Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Background in pediatric and healthcare SLP preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel locally between three school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication needs in line with IEP goals
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans targeting speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support academic achievement and social participation
- Document progress and maintain timely, accurate records compliant with district and state guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions
- Offer support and education to teachers and family members regarding communication strategies
- Adapt services for diverse student needs in both individual and group settings
Assignment Details:
- Start date: August 12, 2026
- End date: May 26, 2027
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Caseload: K-12 students over three local school sites
