Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Irving, TX
Make a direct impact supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dedicated educational setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for an SLP fluent in American Sign Language, eager to focus on therapy services within an established DHH program. You’ll be part of a specialized team working with approximately 130 students across multiple age ranges, ensuring meaningful communication outcomes and skill development.
What you’ll need to bring:
- Active Texas SLP license
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) or DHHT certification
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to support a diverse student population
- Capacity to complete TEA fingerprinting prior to start date, if not already on record
Your key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students in the regional DHH program
- Collaborate with a team of therapists to provide individualized student care
- Adapt communication methods and materials to best support DHH learners
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation for student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Engage with families, staff, and stakeholders to foster student success
This full-time position offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week for the 2026-2027 academic year, starting August 11, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You will work onsite within schools serving the DHH community—remote or virtual options are not available for this role.
