School Speech Language Pathologist - Poland, ME

Requirements:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist or holder of Speech and Hearing Clinician Certificate K–12 (293)
- Valid Maine state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Completed Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) clearance
- Experience supporting students with diverse needs and exceptionalities
- Skilled in addressing a wide array of communication challenges—including articulation, fluency, and working with non-verbal students
- Comfortable utilizing augmentative communication devices
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative abilities
- Self-motivated and effective working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders for elementary-aged students
- Partner with teachers, families, and other specialists to create supportive educational environments
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to individualized student planning
- Maintain thorough, compliant documentation on interventions and progress
- Integrate evidence-based practices and remain current on advances in the speech-language field
